Everywhere we look these days, there are adverts compelling us to buy, buy, buy. And while it’s all very well being bombarded with pictures of pretty clothes and beautiful shoes, what are you supposed to do if you don’t have the hundreds of pounds to spend on them? Be miserable? Absolutely not. The simple reality is that you probably do have the money, or would have, if you changed a few things about what you buy day-to-day and how you buy them.
Yup this is another lifestyle blog. Another fashion, and food, and ‘life’ blog. The only difference is that when I tell you about a fab restaurant, or a handbag that will go with everything in your wardrobe, or a European city you must visit, I’ll also tell you – in my finance section – how to gather together the money to afford it. Because let’s face it, why save money if you’re not going to have fun with the proceeds?
I’m Hannah, I’m a mum and PR director from Berkshire and an advocate for treating one’s self. My wardrobe will never be dripping with designer clobber but I do have my fair share, I like my tasting menus at nice restaurants (with matching wines) and I go on lovely holidays. That’s the standard of life that my husband and I have set for ourselves and we both work bloody hard for it.
It doesn’t have to be about the big salary – there are ways to save and make money all over the place. You just need to know how to do it. Having spent a lot of my career working in personal finance, I’ve learned a lot along the way about spending/saving and I now put all of it into practice. I also want to share my knowledge with you, my readers.
So this blog is about feasting, styling yourself and your home, filling your life with rich experiences, and pulling together the money to do it.
And if the money stuff sounds too hard, hell there’s always the pictures of pretty clothes and beautiful shoes to look at.
Thanks for reading.
